Visit to Waterlily Concept Store

What a treat it was to visit Waterlily's concept store in Brisbane.

I travelled to see the wonderful displays and to experience the Waterlily Seasonal Marula Honey Spa facial. 

Waterlily is a spa range that infuses botanical and aromatherapy ingredients to the skin, hair and body. Their mission is to take you on a sensory journey whilst creating a positive change with their results driven products and treatments. 

On arrival I was welcomed by the friendly Julie (educator of Waterlily Skincare), and Holly (skin therapist) who handed me a calming tea and a warm towel. As I strolled through the store I was impressed by how inviting the products looked on display with testers everywhere.

Before my treatment I was curious to find out why they named this treatment the Marula Honey Spa Facial.
Marula is an oil originating from Africa:- it has 16% more antioxidants than Argan oil plus it contains Vitamin C.  
The benefits to the skin are hydration, nourishing, anti ageing and anti inflammatory. The honey used is sourced from a local company called BeeOneThird.  It is anti inflammatory, high in antioxidants and gives a slightly exfoliating effect to the skin. 

This treatment is replenishing and rejuvenating which will help our skin to cope with the winter's climate and prevent the barrier of our skin becoming impaired. 

It was lovely being on the receiving end of this treatment especially as it is so popular at Time Out Beauty. As this is a spa facial the focus is not on extraction or your deep cleansing treatment, it is about nourishing and nurturing the skin through gentle exfoliation, massage, warm compresses and infusing omega 3, essential oils and lipids into our skin. To complete the treatment a cool, alginate mask was applied, which had aromas exactly like heavenly chocolate. The mask is left on for 10-15 minutes and during this time I enjoyed an arm and hand massage. 

My skin and body felt calm, revitalised and nurtured. As I floated out of the room I felt I had been on holiday for an hour. I would highly recommend the Marula Honey Spa Facial to any one that really needs Time Out and for those who battle with dry, sensitive and devitalised skin.
