Synergie Minerals in Practice

Makeup

Caren, one of our valued team members at Time Out Beauty, is concerned about dark circles under the eye and her sallow skin complexion.

She wants to use makeup that will provide sun protection whilst having the "clean science" philosophy.

We invited Nicki Tkchendo (makeup artist and owner of NT. Makeup and Style) to visit Time Out Beauty to do Caren’s makeover.  Nicki's challenge was to see if using a mineral make-up brand could meet Caren’s requirements and provide her with the coverage and results she expected to see.

Here is Caren before her makeover.

The chosen brand was Synergie Minerals. This Australian made makeup, provides broad spectrum sun protection and contains no nasty artificial ingredients.

Preparation

Before the makeover, Marisa (our skin therapist at Time Out Beauty) prepared Caren’s skin with the following Synergie Skin products:

Foundation and Concealers

In order the see how Synergie Minerals achieved great coverage Nicki started doing just one side of Caren’s face using Mineralwhip Cream Foundation (latte), then Redness Correct on the sides of the nostrils to cover up red veins and Eyebrite (under eye concealer) to help eliminate dark circles.

As you can see these products successfully provide good coverage. Caren’s skin tone is now even whilst the eye area is bright and the dark circles have diminished.

Nicki continues working over the other half of Caren's face before progressing onto the eye area.

Eyes

Starting with Synergie Minerals Eyedration the following colours were used:

  • Base - Vanilla Bean
  • Lower Lid – Seashell
  • Socket line - Blackberry
  • Under the eye – Blackberry
  • Brows- Smoke

Luminiser was used to highlight under the brow area.

Jet Black MagnifEye Eyeliner defines the eyes and finally the Vitalash Mascara provides fuller and longer looking lashes.

Cheeks

To create a soft glowing and healthy look Nicki used Dusky Rose Hydroblush on the cheeks.

Lips

Nicki advises that as we get older, having natural and lighter shade lipsticks create a younger look. A Lipliner Pout Pot (Nude) was used to line the lips.

Finally Rejuvalip completes the lips with a hint of colour and natural sheer.

The Result

So as we can see Nicki has created a fresh and radiant look for Caren.  Synergie Minerals contain only natural pigment, is non-comedogeic make-up and uses high levels of zinc oxide in their products that will protect the skin from harsh UV rays.
