Did you put Sun Protection Cream on your Kids this Morning?

I always thought it was the done thing in Australia to put sunscreen on your kids before they go to school in the morning.

I take my sons friend to school twice a week and I asked him do you put sunscreen on before school. His answer was "no unless I have sport". Some other kids that I have asked also say no.

As most of us know the UV index is really high at the moment. Our kids are playing outside when the suns intensity is at its highest. So why is sunscreen not being used? Is it that there is no time to put it on? 

I must urge parents please start putting the sunscreen on your kids whether they are fair or dark skinned. Try to get one with Zinc in it. 

If you are worried about Vitamin D deficiency then give them a supplement. Melanomas happen once the damage is done in years to come. If we educate our kids now on the importance of sunscreen it will become an importance in their life especially during the teenage years. I am rest assured that my kids know the importance of sun protection do yours?
